Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,

Welcome to P-Tech High School in New Brunswick, where innovation meets opportunity and dreams become reality. As principal of this remarkable institution, I am honored to lead a community dedicated to transforming the educational experience for our students and preparing them for the engineering careers of tomorrow.

P-Tech represents a bold reimagining of what high school can be. We are not just another school – we are a specialized learning environment where passionate students dive deep into the world of engineering from day one. Our unique partnership with Middlesex College allows us to offer something extraordinary: the chance for students to graduate with both their high school diploma and an associate's degree in engineering technology, all within four to six years.

The journey begins in 8th grade, when students make the exciting decision to apply to P-Tech. Through our lottery selection process, we welcome a diverse group of future engineers who share a common curiosity about how things work and a desire to build solutions for tomorrow's challenges. What makes our students special is their willingness to think differently, ask tough questions, and persist through complex problems.

Every day at P-Tech, I witness the incredible transformation that happens when students are given the tools, support, and opportunity to pursue their passions. Our small school environment means that every student is known, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential. We provide comprehensive support services, including high-intensity ESL support and in-class support for students who need additional help to succeed. We don't just teach engineering concepts – we cultivate critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and the kind of innovative mindset that our world desperately needs.

Our strong industry partnerships provide students with real-world experience through internships and direct pathways to employment. Many of our students gain valuable hands-on experience working with our industry partners during their time here, and often transition seamlessly into full-time positions with these companies upon graduation.

Our graduates leave P-Tech with choices. Some continue directly to four-year universities to complete their bachelor's degrees, building on the strong foundation they've established here. Others step confidently into engineering careers with our industry partners or other companies, armed with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Many of our alumni choose to do both – working in the field while continuing their education. This flexibility is the power of the P-Tech model.

But perhaps what I'm most proud of is the community we've built. Students, families, faculty, and our partners work together as one team, united in our belief that every student can succeed in engineering. We celebrate not just the destination, but the journey of discovery, growth, and achievement that defines the P-Tech experience.

To prospective students and families: if you're ready for a challenge that will change your life, if you're curious about engineering and excited about the possibilities it offers, then P-Tech might be the perfect place for you. We're looking for students who are ready to work hard, think creatively, and be part of something special.
